What are the school hours?
Hours of Operation- 8:10am-3:10pm; Building Opens at 7:50 Each Day; REGULAR DISMISSAL: Car Riders 2:45 Buses 3:00; EARLY DISMISSAL (2 HOURS 15 MINUTES EARLY)- 8:10am-12:55pm Dismissal: Car Riders 12:35 Bus Riders 12:40 HALF-DAY DISMISSAL- 8:10am-11:25 am Dismissal: Car Riders 11:25 Bus Riders 11:30 *Note: All times are approximate and dependent on traffic.
When can I register my child for school for the 2023-2024 School Year?
NEES will reopen for registration on July 24th and will have registration each day 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. through August 2nd. On August 3rd from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. There will be no registration on August 4th and Aug 7th. On August 8th, we will accept registration from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. There will be no registration on August 8th. Regular school hours will begin on August 10th, and registration will be from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. each day. Thank you and have a wonderful summer.
How long must a student be in attendance to be counted present for the day?
A child must be here a total of 3 hours and 31 minutes to be counted present for the day.
How early can I drop of my child in the morning?
Children can not be dropped off prior to 7:50 AM each day. The adults in the car circle will assist students out of the cars each morning. Students may not be dropped off and left unattended. Students may not be dropped off at the front doors of the school. All late arrivals must be signed in by a parent or guardian.
How do I volunteer at the school?
Volunteers provide an essential link between our school and the community. You are invaluable to the success of our school and students. Volunteer help comes in many different forms. There are items that could be created at home as well as assisting at school. You may contact Angel Dominique (Volunteer Coordinator) [email protected], your child's teacher, or the school office (648-5662) and we will help you get involved. Thanks so much for your support!
What do I need to enroll my child?
Birth Certificate and 2 Proofs of Residence (Electric/Water Bill or Mortgage/Lease Agreement)TN Green Immunization FormCurrent Physical (within the last year)Proof of Custody (if it applies)
What supplies does my child need?
Each grade level has a general supply list. It can be found here. Please contact your child's teacher before purchasing supplies.
When can I expect my child's grades to be updated?
Teachers update grades each week by Monday at midnight.
What are the meal costs in the cafeteria?
Breakfast and Lunch Prices for the 2023-2024 school year are as follows: Elementary Students:Student Breakfast - Universal Breakfast Program (Free to All Students)Student Lunch - $2.65 (full pay) Adult / Child VisitorLunch - $3.50
When is the latest time that I can check my child out from school?
Please be reminded that our daily safety check and classroom preparation for dismissal is from 2:45-3:10 each day. The building will be secured at 2:20 and there will be no student dismissal. We appreciate your support in helping to keep each child safe.
